Sara Bellin is Manager, Jewish Education Program at Facing History and Ourselves, an international educational and professional development organization whose mission is to engage students of diverse backgrounds in an examination of racism, prejudice, and antisemitism in order to promote the development of a more humane and informed citizenry.
Previously, Sara served as Director of Student Activities and the Women’s Tefillah Coordinator at Maimonides School in Brookline, Massachusetts, where she created and coordinated extracurricular programming and events for grades 6-12. Bellin worked to strengthen student leadership and empower observant teenagers to view themselves in the combined context of their strong personal and religious identities. As well as being a strong contributor to recruitment and admissions efforts, Sara also wrote copy for diverse parent communications, including the weekly parent newsletter, and worked as part of a dynamic team to revamp the school’s student advisory program.
Sara is interested in writing, education, marketing, event management, and how we make choices, as individuals and communities. Sara spends her free time crafting, organizing the cozy Brookline apartment she shares with her husband and son, and relaxing at long Shabbat meals with friends.
